TGSL Redmen Travel / Tournament Team Program

 

The TGSL Redmen Travel / Tournament Teams are very competitive teams which take the game of softball to the next level. Players and families should be very dedicated.  Teams participate in between five to seven weekend long softball tournaments from May through August.  Teams typically hold winter practices (specific commitments vary by age and team).  Out of town travel should be expected and some tournaments require overnight stays.  Redmen teams also host tournaments throughout the summer season and ALL parents, coaches and family members are expected to assist in all aspects of hosting a tournament; concession sales, field maintenance etc.


Try outs are held in August following the conclusion of the current Travel / Tournament Season.  Not every player that tries out will make a team and playing time during the season is NOT guaranteed.  Coaches are expected to go through a screening process, interview, ASA national background check and be ACE Certified by USA Softball.

Tryout dates and registration forms will be posted on the league website tewksburygirlssoftball.com registration forms will also be made available at tryout dates.

Teams are dependent upon the availability of coaches and skilled players, the following are options for Redmen Travel / Tournament Teams:

10U -10 years of age or younger as of January 1st of the current season
 

*10U players must be at least 9 years of age as of January 1st of the current season

12U - 12 years of age or younger as of January 1st of the current season

14U - 14 years of age or younger as of January 1st of the current season

16U - 16 years of age or younger as of January 1st of the current season

18U - 18 years of age or younger as of January 1st of the current season
